With the majority of work done to the coin box section of thenewspaper dispenser, it came time to move onto the next piece, themain body. After a good deal of space planning I decided where and how I wanted to locate everything that I wished to include in this
box.

I realized that I needed to have some type of access panels to work on the interior of the box as well as have some nice windows to see all the goodies contained within. I came to the conclusion that, like a standard computer case, I should have the windows be mounted onto removable panels that attach onto the the case itself. I measured out and cut two large sized holes on he sides of the main body to allow the view into the sides to see the power supply, hard drives, and back of the large LCD screen. I also decided to cut a large window into the bottom front of the box to display the full motherboard unobstructed and head on. The front window panel was also fashioned to frame the display panel from the UPS, so it could be used from the front.

After cutting these holes, the Bondo made another appearance. The next steps of sanding, priming, cursing, sanding, and painting then followed.

After the first few coats of yellow, I cut out two 120mm fan holes into the top of the box as output and two 120mm fan holes into the base for intake. These holes were made with a 4" hole saw, a rechargeable drill, and a lot of patience. At this point I also chopped a hole where the coin box attached to allow wiring to go between the bottom at top portions.

I then painted the interior of the case in a black high strength enamel made for appliances. This enamel was chosen for its ability to resist scratches when working inside the case. It went on very nicely and contrasted the yellow outer color very well.
